Day 2. Ready, set, go.
I have a lot of Chaucer to read, and last night, I failed to read a singly word. Sometimes I hate being so lazy. It’s really a problem since I should already be done with this homework assignment. I really need to make a point of knocking a story or two out and finishing up since it’s looking like I’ll be in Denver on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Yay for business trips.
Alright, time for the food portion of this post. Today’s breakfast was scrambled eggs with cheese. I found this breakfast to be more than a little disturbing. You see, when you peel back the lid on the little cup, all that you see is powder. Next, you add 4oz of water and stir the powder until it is mixed in. Then, you nuke the hell out of it. After a while, the liquid mixture solidifies and is ready for one last stirring – to give it that “scrambled eggs” look. But, when you stir them, it’s more like it curdles then scrambles. However, I do have to give the eggs high marks for realistic texture. Unfortunately, the texture wasn’t enough to save the grade. And believe me, giving this product a “D” hurts me a lot more than it hurts them… after all, I’m the poor shmuck that had to eat it.

Lunch was 1 slice of whole wheat bread, 8oz of milk, a small salad with just a dash of fat free Italian (probably the best tasting fat free dressing, in my oppinion), and an Orange Nutra-peptide drink. The drink wasn’t to shabby. It reminded me of a good protien powder meets Tang. Grade, B.

Din-din was Strognoff with noodles. Overall, I’d give it the same grade as yesterday’s meal and for the same reasons. It tasted pretty good and it was filling. The only down side is that it tasted like a microwave dinner… which isn’t a bad thing.
Dessert was the caramel dessert bar. I wasn’t overly fond of the caramel bar’s taste. Grade, C.
